چکیده

Ziziphus mauritiana is an edible fruiting plant commonly found in Asia. In Indonesia, this grows wild and thrives on the islands of Bali, Lombok, Sumbawa. Although it has good potential as food medicinal ingredient, fruits Z. are underutilized have almost no economic value. Information about bioactivity chemical content fruit limited. To evaluate its possibility being developed functional food, a GC-MS LC-MS/MS analysis was carried out to identify phytochemical juice. From chromatogram, four compounds were identified with quality match 85% above. The 5-( hydroxymethyl)-2–furancarboxaldehyde (43.45%), 5, 5'-(oxybis(methylene)) bis-2- furancarbox-aldehyde (25.99%), 2,3–dihydro-3,5–dihydroxy–6–methyl-4H–pyran–4-one (6.05%), hexadecanoic acid (2.16%). result showed 42 peaks different included several groups such flavonoids, alkaloids, phenols, terpenoids, organic acids. these results, can be concluded that juice contains various likely activity therefore used food.

Chemical Analysis of Pesticides Using GC/MS, GC/MS/MS, and LC/MS/MS

There are well over 500 registered pesticides worldwide for use in agricultural regions and new agrochemicals are introduced to the marketplace continuously. This chapter deals with the chemical analysis methods for the main pesticide chemical classes that are most frequently analyzed with gas chromatography (GC) or liquid chromatography (LC) coupled to mass spectrometry (MS). GC amenable pesti...

Chemical derivatization and mass spectral libraries in metabolic profiling by GC/MS and LC/MS/MS.

An overview is presented of gas chromatography/mass spectrometry (GC/MS) and liquid chromatography/mass spectrometry (LC/MS), the two major hyphenated techniques employed in metabolic profiling that complement direct 'fingerprinting' methods such as atmospheric pressure ionization (API) quadrupole time-of-flight MS, API Fourier transform MS, and NMR. In GC/MS, the analytes are normally derivati...

Characterization of aroma active compounds in fruit juice and peel oil of Jinchen sweet orange fruit (Citrus sinensis (L.) Osbeck) by GC-MS and GC-O.

Gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) and gas chromatography-olfactometry (GC-O) were used to determine the aromatic composition and aroma active compounds of fruit juice and peel oil of Jinchen sweet orange fruit. Totals of 49 and 32 compounds were identified in fruit juice and peel oil, respectively. GC-O was performed to study the aromatic profile of Jinchen fruit juice and peel oil. ...

Identification of the Chemical Constituents in Simiao Wan and Rat Plasma after Oral Administration by GC-MS and LC-MS

Simiao Wan (SMW), an important multiherbal formula used in traditional Chinese medicine, is extensively used to treat rheumatoid arthritis. However, the knowledge of the bioactive components of SMW remains unclear. Thus, gas chromatography-mass spectrometry (GC-MS) and liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) were used to analyze the chemical constituents of volatile and nonvolatile extr...
